Itinerary

Option No. 1: Kapama & Makalali Private Game Reserves
Kapama Private Game Reserve
With sweeping views across a tranquil lake, Kapama Lodge (5 star graded) is the epitome of luxury accommodation. Twenty spacious, air-conditioned, en suite thatched chalets, decorated to reflect the rich textures of Africa, are set in tranquil indigenous gardens.
The tea deck is a relaxing venue to observe an abundance of birds in their natural habitat or to enjoy cocktails on balmy evenings. The library and lounge offers a warm welcome on cool winter evenings.

Superb gourmet meals are served in the main dining room, the boma or in a secluded bush venue under a star-studded sky.

Accompanied by highly skilled game rangers, guests set out on early morning and evening game drives, to discover the wonder of the African bush and a unique encounter with its majestic inhabitants. An elephant back safari is an optional extra exclusive to Kapama Game Reserve guests.
Option4 Option4 Option4
Makalali Private Game Reserve
You won't find another lodge quite like Makalali. From its curious mix of rugged thatched spires and earthy walls, to its ancient mystical ornaments and luxury appointments, Makalali offers A TRULY UNIQUE EXPERIENCE.

Nestled on 22 000 hectares of conservancy, Makalali prevails as one of the finest Lodges in the World. Four exclusive camps, each consisting of six spacious suites adjacent to a stilted Sala set amongst Jackalberry trees, are equipped with all the modern conveniences. Amenities on offer at each camp include a uniquely designed swimming pool, boma, air conditioning, and an enclosed dining and lounge area.

Considered one of the leading pioneers in Ecotourism in South Africa, Makalali Private Game Reserve represents a conservation mission to expand South Africa's green frontier by re-establishing the ancient wildlife migration routes that linked the famous Kruger Park in the east to the lush Drakensberg Mountains in the west. In the process lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, and rhino have all been reintroduced to the wild, making Makalali home to one thousand wild animals including four of Africa's "Big Five".
